How to Write SEO Content With AI: A Source-First Workflow
A source-first AI SEO writing process from intent and SERP research to draft, QA, internal links and publication.
1. Define the search destination
Decide whether the page is a guide, comparison, review, category hub or another distinct destination. Keywords with the same intent often belong on one page.
2. Collect primary sources
For products, use vendor documentation for current features and pricing. For research topics, prefer original studies and authoritative references. Store URLs with the brief.
3. Build an outline from user decisions
Headings should reflect questions and decisions, not a forced keyword list. Put the direct answer before background sections.
4. Generate section by section when needed
A single long prompt can drift. For complex pages, generate against the same brief in sections and maintain a fact ledger for claims that need verification.
5. Run editorial QA
Check factual accuracy, unsupported certainty, repeated ideas, invented quotes, style consistency and whether the page earns its length.
6. Add useful internal links
Link to the parent hub, deeper child pages, closely related siblings and the appropriate commercial destination when it helps the reader.
