Koala Internal Linking: KoalaLinks & Writer Workflow
Koala's internal-linking system can index a site, analyze pages and insert contextual links. That is operationally useful on large sites, but automation should support topical relationships rather than turn every page into a link container.
Current product model
Koala says automatic internal linking is available through KoalaLinks and higher-tier Koala plans. Its public KoalaLinks page says pages can be indexed without credits; analyzing a page uses credits and can generate internal links, related posts and schema markup.
Use it for discovery
Automation is valuable for finding relevant destinations in a large content library. Review suggested anchors, destination relevance and whether the link genuinely helps the reader.
Protect link highways
Important paths should still be intentional: informational guide → commercial category → comparison or alternatives → product review. Automated links can supplement that architecture, not replace it.
Avoid over-linking
A page does not need to link to every related keyword. Too many links dilute reading flow and make the site's hierarchy harder to interpret.
Cancellation behavior
Koala's current KoalaLinks FAQ says generated links continue to work for analyzed pages even if the subscription is cancelled. Confirm implementation details before relying on any dynamic script in a mission-critical site.
